BIE PUTRI KARTINI 2009

Ladies in Bintan Industrial Estate celebrated Kartini Day on 02 & 03 May 2009 by contesting for the 2009 Lady Kartini organized by Tunaskarya Indoswasta Bintan (TI Bintan).

This event in to split into 2 sessions, that is the Elimination Session and Final Session.
Elimination Session carried out on Saturday, 02 May 2009 with 50 contestant from 6 companies in BIE, they are from PT.CCI Bintan, PT. Add plus Technology, PT. P&F Bintan, PT. Sanden Electronics, PT. AMC Bintan and PT. Everstrong.

In this Elimination Session the contestants were required to parade the stage with casual wear. The MCs were Margaretha from TI Bintan and Agustiarmen from PT. Add Plus Technology. One after another, the contestants start paraded over the stage with background music arranged by DJ. The Juries carefully observe every movement of the contestant. At 2230wib the elimination session closed with the announcement of 10 Finalists for the Final Session the next day.

Sunday, 03 May 2009, the day for 2009 BIE Lady Kartini Final Session, saw the venue in SD15 packed with audiences and supporters undeterred by the torrential rain that greeted them on their way to the venue earlier. Just moments before the session commence, music from the DJ finally overcome the roof beating sound from the receding rain. In the back stage, the 10 finalists were rushing with final touch up to the most striking appearance.

The arrival of VIPs, Camat of Seri Kuala Lobam Sub-District, Bapak Ali Bazar Said and BIIE Senior Liaison Manager, Bapak Jamin Hidajat tell the audiences and contestants that the event will begin shortly.

MCs of that night were Margaretha from TI Bintan, Yulianto from PT. P&F Bintan and Agustiarmen from PT. Add Plus Technology. Phobia Band from PT. Pertama Precision Bintan welcomed the audience and guests with two popular songs. Followed by Pencak Silat performance by PSHT (Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate) Lobam.

The tune of traditional music invited 5 dancers to the stage, dressed in traditional Malay costume. They performed the “Persembahan Dance”. This Dance depicts the loyal and respect of the people to the King.

The MCs finally invited the 10 finalists to the stage together for a short glimpse by the audiences and guests. Band Performance by Balloon Band from PT. CCI Bintan provided the contestants precious time to prepare themselves for the individual parade later. The MCs then invited each of the 10 finalists to parade in the stage, dressed in traditional kebaya, every finalist walk like floating in the stage, definitely surpassed the cat walk performed by top model in Paris. They also need to answer a question picked by them from the 10 envelopes prepared by the MCs. While the front row of Juries have to work hard to decide the winner.

In between the individual parade, the organizer also took the opportunity to announce and award the result of dormitory cleanliness competition conducted from 27 to 29 April 2009. The cleanest dormitory unit was Block 73 Unit 8 occupied by PT. Sanden, followed by Block 18 Unit 7 from PT. Pepperl + Fuchs Bintan and Block 9B Unit 3from PT. CCI Bintan.

Performance from Elect Yo Band of PT. Yoshikawa Bintan buy time for the Juries to confirm the winner. The final moment arrived with the birth of 2009 BIE Lady Kartini, she was Ibu Indartik from PT. P&F Bintan, 2nd was Ibu Renny Lesterida from PT Add Plus and 3rd was Dian Tika Sari from PT Paper Fuchs.
